The Attendance Calendar allows teachers to review attendance data in a calendar format based on a selected timeframe. Upon being generated, teachers can click on specific dates in order to review attendance by period and make edits, as needed.
1. In the Reports menu, click Attendance Calendar.
2. Enter the applicable criteria to conduct a student search, then click Search.

3. Select the Report Timeframe from the pull-down to determine the date range displayed in the report.
a. To use a custom date range, select Custom, and enter or select the start and end dates of the report timeframe.
The report displays the Student, Student ID, Grade level, number of Absences, and the applicable dates along with the attendance code.
Hover over the attendance codes for a clear explanation of the attendance code, such as Present, Absent, etc.
4. From the list of resulting students, click the Student to view attendance data in a calendar view.
5. From the student view, adjust the Report Timeframe, as needed.
a. To use a custom date range, select Custom, and enter or select the start and end dates of the report timeframe.
6. Select the View All Student Attendance check box to view a students attendance records across all schools they've attended.
7. Select the Show Attendance from All Schools check box to display attendance records for all schools the student has been enrolled in during the selected Report Timeframe.
8. Click Go to update the report.
From this screen, you can review the Attendance Summary Cards, which provide a snapshot of the selected student's attendance activity for the selected date range. The cards display totals for Absences, Tardies, Unexcused Absences, Days Present, Late Check-Ins, and Early Releases, along with additional metrics such as weekly, monthly, and quarter-to-date totals. Depending on the attendance type and district configuration, the cards may also display attendance percentages, period counts, or minute totals.
9. Click an Attendance Summary Card to open a detailed modal displaying the underlying attendance records for that category. Depending on the selected card, the modal may include additional summary information, such as attendance code totals, along with detailed records for the selected date range.
a. Clicking ABSENCES to view a summary of absence information for the selected date range, including the total number of days absent, periods absent (or minutes absent, depending on district configuration), attendance percentages, and a legend showing each attendance code with its corresponding count. You can also review detailed absence records, including the date, section, attendance code, attendance title, and other related information. Click Close to close the pop-up window.
10. Click Hide to hide the Attendance Summary Cards.
a. Click Show to redisplay the Attendance Summary Cards.
11. While reviewing the Attendance Calendar, you have the option to click Summary in order to navigate to Absence Summary. You also have the option to view the Attendance Chart by clicking Chart.
12. In the Attendance Calendar, you can review the attendance codes for each day in a calendar format. While the color can help you decipher the students attendance, you always have the option to hover over each attendance code for more information. Note: The color and code displayed represents the Daily attendance code.
Each district customizes their own attendance codes, including the color. Therefore, the colors shown in the above examples may differ from district to district.
Depending on your profile permissions and school and district settings, you may or may not have the ability to edit attendance from this screen.
13. Click on a date to view and edit attendance codes. When clicked, you can review attendance recorded for each period in the student's schedule.
Click the arrows icon to sort the periods by attendance taken or by attendance not taken.
14. Click the pencil icon to edit the attendance code for the selected period. Note: The attendance code displays above the period.
15. Select the applicable attendance code from the pull-down.
16. Option 1: When finished, in order to save the selection, click Done.
16. Option 2: To close the attendance pop-up window without saving data or making changes, click the x.
The Lunch Counts displayed are determined by the district's attendance setup and may vary between districts.

5. Click Lunch Count to view the student's recorded lunch codes per day.
6. Click on a date to view and edit lunch codes. When clicked, you can review lunch recorded for each period in the student's schedule.
7. Click the pencil icon to edit the lunch code for the selected period. Note: The lunch code displays above the period.
8. Select the applicable lunch code from the pull-down.
9. Option 1: Click Done.
9. Option 2: To close the pop-up window without saving data or making changes, click the x.
