The Teacher Analytics report in the Analytics Module provides a comprehensive view of teacher demographic and staffing data for the selected school(s) and filters. This report allows users to analyze staffing trends, certification distributions, years of experience, and workforce demographics across the district. Users can also break down teacher data by key categories such as school, department, ethnicity, gender, and staffing classifications. By interacting with the charts and filters, administrators and staff can quickly identify staffing patterns, monitor workforce representation, and support data-informed decision-making related to personnel planning and district staffing needs.
This feature requires the purchase of the add-on Analytics module.
1. In the Reports menu, click Attendance Analytics.
2. Option 1: The report automatically runs for all students in the selected school (school selected in the header pull-down). To view the report for all students, continue to the next step where you can set additional report filters.
2. Option 2: To run the report for individual student(s), be sure the Student icon is selected, then select the applicable students from the pull-down.
2. Option 3: Select the Student Group icon and select the student group(s) from the pull-down to run the report for select students assigned to the student group(s).
3. Select the marking period or time frame for which the report should pull attendance data, such as Quarter 4, This week, or School Year.
4. You can choose to view attendance by day or by period. By default, the report displays daily attendance. Use the pull-down to select a specific period instead.
5. Select the measure from the pull-down to determine how attendance data is displayed across the report. Available options include:
- ADA: Displays all charts and reports based on Average Daily Attendance (ADA).
- Truant (>10% Absent): Displays all charts and reports based on the percentage of students who have more than 10% absences (truant students).
6. Select from the following filters to determine which reports are displayed with attendance data as well as the columns displayed in the report (listed by student):
- ADA by Month: Displays a report based on Average Daily Attendance for the selected time frame, allowing you to view attendance trends over time.
- Grade Level: Displays a report showing attendance data grouped by grade level.
- Ethnicity: Displays a report showing attendance data grouped by student ethnicity categories.
- Primary Exceptionality: Displays a report showing attendance data grouped by students primary exceptionality classifications.
- Gender: Displays a report showing attendance data grouped by student gender.
- Gifted: Displays a report showing attendance data for gifted and non-gifted students.
- IEP: Displays a report showing attendance data for students with and without an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
- ELL: Displays a report showing attendance data for English Language Learner (ELL) and non-ELL students.
The report displays Average Daily Attendance percentage, Excused Absence Days, Unexcused Absence Days, Tardy numbers, and Tardy, Tardy, Excused numbers for the selected time frame.
Based on the selections made, you wil see different reports:
ADA by Month: Displays a report based on Average Daily Attendance (ADA) for the selected time frame, allowing you to view attendance trends over time. The values shown in this chart will vary depending on the selected measure (ADA or Truant), reflecting either overall attendance performance or truancy rates.
Hover over points in time for an attendance percentage for the displayed Month, such as ADA for September was 50%.
Grade Level: Displays a report showing attendance data grouped by grade level.
Hover over any of the bar graphs to display attendance percentage for the selected grade level, such as 99.7% ADA for students in 11th grade.
Ethnicity: Displays a report showing attendance data grouped by student ethnicity categories.
Hover over any of the bar graphs to display attendance percentage for the selected ethnicity, such as 100% ADA for students identified as American Indian.
Primary Exceptionality: Displays a report showing attendance data grouped by students primary exceptionality classifications.
Hover over any of the bar graphs to display attendance percentage for the selected exceptionality, such as 99.8% ADA for students who are Gifted.
There are also reports that display for Gender, Lunch Status, Gifted, IEP, and ELL, as shown below.
- Gender: Displays a report showing attendance data grouped by student gender.
- Gifted: Displays a report showing attendance data for gifted and non-gifted students.
- 504: Displays a report showing teacher data grouped by 504-related classifications, when applicable.
- IEP: Displays a report showing attendance data for students with and without an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
- ELL: Displays a report showing attendance data for English Language Learner (ELL) and non-ELL students.
Hover over any of the bar graphs in the displayed reports to view the ADA percentage, such as 99.3% ADA for students who have an IEP.
The last report is broken down by student and includes the following columns (including any filters selected to generate all reports): Student name, Student Id, Grade level, ADA %, Days Attended, Days Possible, Excused Days, Unexcused Days, Hot Lunch (HL), Cold Lunch (CL), or the applicable lunch codes, Absent, Tardy, Absent with Parent Notes, Present, Check Out(O), Check In, then Out (1), Chec Out, then In (2), and all other applicable attendance codes (which different by district), and the select filters. Ethnicity, Gender, Lunch Status, Gifted, IEP, etc.
7. Click the Student name to open the student's Abense Summary.
The Attendance Analytics reports are interactive. Clicking on any data point or metric (such as a bar in a chart) updates all reports, KPIs, and tables to reflect the selected criteria, allowing you to quickly refine and explore attendance data. The displayed values across all visuals also depend on the selected measure (ADA or Truant), which determines whether data is shown as Average Daily Attendance or percent of students who are truant.
1. In the Reports menu, click Attendance Analytics.
2. Follow the steps provided in The Attendance Analytics Report then follow the steps below to customize each of the reports.
3. When viewing any of the demographic reports listed above, click a bar in the chart to filter the data. All reports displayed, such as the ADA by Month report, regenerates to reflect the selected criteria. In this example, the reports are currently filtered to display data for Grade Level 10 students.
4. To update the reports, click a demographic value in any chart, such as White in the Ethnicity report. This applies a filter and refreshes all reports to display data only for the selected group. Any previously applied filters (such as Grade Level 10) will remain in place until cleared.
5. To remove a filter from the attendance reports, click the applied filter again, such as 10 in Grade Level. The selection is cleared, the bar returns to light blue, and all reports update to display all grade levels (if applicable).

You can add as many filters as you'd like and clear them as you go to customize attendance reports.

6. Click Clear Filters to remove all filters at once.
1. In the Reports menu, click Attendance Analytics.
2. Apply all report filters and generate the report. See The Attendance Analytics Report for details.
3. Click Print.
4. Follow your computer's prompts to print the report.
